For me, doing #maskless community theater would be a nightmare. I would simply…not cave to #PeerPressure and state to my friends that I refuse to be involved unless they seriously improve their #COVID precautions. But my mom doesn’t feel the same way, and it’s confusing & illogical & making me sad.
A subtle form of #gaslighting during the ongoing #pandemic is that #SocialMedia obscures the fact that people who have embraced the #UrgencyOfNormal fallacy are not *actually* having more fun than those of us who know #CovidIsNotOver.
I have to remind myself that their lives are not “better” than mine, especially because they are most likely getting sick after eating out and vacationing and going to parties #maskless.
But it can be hard to remember when all you see are the photos.

My government (AU) has decided to "end COVID exceptionalism".
Our federal Health Department's website now a banner warning of, 1. COVID-19 (of which there have been some 2000 deaths associated this year, apparently mainly the "aged" who have not died in hospitals ) and, 2. Japanese Encephalitis virus (7 deaths in the last 6 months).
This has just about everyone at the supermarket walking aroung #Maskless
