@detachedspork I fear this. I also fear that all of the #UrgencyofNormal and #Antivaxxers will say, "I told you that you shouldn't have gotten that vaccine." And it will be infuriating to know those who contributed the most to this will blame behaviours that could have stopped this disease.
@HeavenlyPossum One could even go as far as accusing current TV shows of (somewhat clumsily) trying to convince us to go back to #UrgencyOfNormal / #FakeNormalität
A subtle form of #gaslighting during the ongoing #pandemic is that #SocialMedia obscures the fact that people who have embraced the #UrgencyOfNormal fallacy are not *actually* having more fun than those of us who know #CovidIsNotOver.
I have to remind myself that their lives are not “better” than mine, especially because they are most likely getting sick after eating out and vacationing and going to parties #maskless.
But it can be hard to remember when all you see are the photos.
Here's an interesting review of the impact of #SarsCoV2 on our immune system. It details a lot of scary points (which are mentioned on my website) then much more vaguely waves away the concerns. I don't know how "fair and balanced" that result is, but at least it tries in mainstream media, which is a new trend instead of simply parroting the #UrgencyOfNormal.
