I really like my dentist, who wears an #N95 respirator and is a great guy. But the star of his office is his receptionist. Today I called l make an appointment, figuring I’d better take advantage of this #Covid lull while it lasts. While she made an appointment for the first one available in the day, she commented that some people who share my concerns also make appointments after lunch, when the ventilation system has had an hour to circulate the air.

I hadn’t said a word about Covid. She just remembered, and made me feel welcome.

We are all wearing #masks... masks of counterfeit niceness hidden behind rage and division over what constitutes dignity and humanity and a life. I believe my #n95 mask puts me on the best side of dignity, humanity, and life. I wish more people did the same. Thank you for those that do.

I am about a month of low #Covid levels from saying fuck it all and getting on with my life. Such is the evolution of the human brain to reason, based far more than on mere remembered facts about dreadful health damage being inflicted by this #virus, on emotion and contact with other human brains being carried about in close physical proximity

But I'm pretty sure I won't, and don't come at me with stuff about the #N95 making no difference in your life. They cover up the very part of you that other humans evolved to very carefully read and prevent you from taking part in millennia-old social. And if you are a minimizer who happened to stray into this quiet little space of ours, well, you are beneath my contempt.
