imo #IFTAS is trying to do too much.

A healthy fedi federates widely but prevents people from being forced to see what they don't want to. So please help us know which accounts are bothering others and which servers don't try to prevent their users from doing that. Like how email servers share lists of spammers.

But please don't spend time tracking bullshit and hate just cause it was posted on a server running AP or AT and not just a regular web server. Most of our relatives are not a threat.

We're almost halfway through 2026 🤯

This year has already seen an increase in challenges for the Social Web, but particularly with moderation.

Many of the servers we use are moderated by normal people who aren't getting paid. They're being informed and educated by @iftas - an organisation that's leading the way on Social Web moderation, but who still aren't getting paid anywhere near enough!
