A pic – #flagstone stair landing and path. Trying to decide between cement grouting or just jointing sand between.
The latter is permeable, which I like, and doesn't fail to an ugly fractured mess in a few years. Prob less stable though, but adjusting is easier than pulling out broken mortar and repairing that. Weeds will appear in sand though, but that's readily handled with boiling water I suppose.
Perhaps I've convinced myself?
