RhevianA week last Thursday I ordered a case of wine from #NakedWines. I knew I’d be away most of Monday&Tuesday, so I ordered it to be delivered to a nearby #Yodel convenience store.
Last Saturday I had an email saying it was ready to collect - so I went to the shop. It wasn’t there. It had been damaged in transit, and returned to Naked wines.
This has now happened *three* times. Each time I get the emails (from both Naked and Yodel) saying it’s ready to collect, and only a couple of hours later do they let me know it’s being returned.
I have now threatened Naked Wines with closing my account.

Mark HBefore we headed out earlier we got a notification that a #delivery from #Yodel was due between 11:!5 and 13:15. The notification turned up at 12:30. Annoying. So we stayed in but by 13:30 the little tracker thing said the guy was still 5 stops away. Sod it, we thought, and headed out anyway. We got back at 16:15 to no parcel, no card, nothing, and the tracker still said 5 stops away. Stupid thing. But it's just been delivered right now at 16:30. We'd have been livid if we'd waited in.

Charging £5 for a crap service you have a contract with, but is totally incapable of finding my place and dumps parcels in nearby streets, doesn't cut it.
Either it's free and you accept that your delivery service is shite and will cost you money & customers. Or you charge and the customer chooses a service they are confident can deliver!

Steve Hill 🏴🇪🇺So this is #Yodel's proof of delivery photo for a very very light package (TL;DR: it probably blew away... at least, it wasn't there when I looked half an hour later). When asked why they didn't post it through my letter box, apparently it is because they had not specifically been asked to do that, and it's more convenient for the driver to just chuck it on the ground...
spangheroI assume #Yodel don't have a presence on the Fediverse, although they probably believe they do (it's actually Twitter, Yodel, but yeah, same thing to you).
Just had notification that they've delivered my expected parcel to someone else. Obviously they are claiming they've delivered it successfully, which is half right I suppose, in that it has been delivered. I'm now engaging with a slow customer care bit that will assure me it's been delivered and will offer a picture of the parcel in someone else's porch as evidence.
This isn't the first time and until companies offer a delivery option that says anyone but Yodel it won't be the last.
One job and satellite navigation, yet off they go probably to the next street, you know; the one with a similar but different street name and a different postcode.
Absolutely useless.
