The Moon! I’ve taken so many pictures of it but this is the first one I’ve taken where there are four people behind it. That feels a bit special. #MoonScrolling #Artemis
Okay, dropping the Artemis feed and watching an old movie.
AOS (acquisition of signal) confirmed. During the LOS (loss of signal) period, Integrity got to the closest point to the Moon and farthest from Earth for the mission. This marks the beginning of the journey home, planned for Friday splashdown in the Pacific off California. (In the image, the Moon is dark and doesn't display well, but is now to the right of the Earth in this view.) #NASA #Artemis2 #Artemis #Moon🌖 #Orion #space

Artemis crew: Houston, it's Integrity, comm check…

Houston: what are you doing on this channel! is this some sort of joke? Nobody has heard from Artemis in 75 years!?

I hope mission control has done the right thing, and are all wearing ape masks now.

Signal acquisition in progress. Orion in the process of reconnecting. Saw a few frames there.

Earth-set!

Moments before the communications interruption.

Earth-rise and comms reestablishment around 7:25 p.m. EDT (23:25 UTC).

And they're gone. About as unreachable as you can get!

I hope their out-of-office messages are set.

Almost gone. Watching our planet slip behind the moon.
Nothing's quite as isolated as being out of line-of-sight with the Earth.
