Today I benchmarked the two #Powerbook 12" against each other. My original companion from 2003 against the newly purchased one from 2005.
The 1GHz with 768MB & 100GB HDD - 10.4:
- Geekbench 2 score: 530
- Xbench 1.3 score: 37.15
The 1.5GHz with 1280MB RAM & 128GB SSD - 10.5:
- Geekbench 2 Score: 635
- Xbench 1.3 score: 53.69
- Xbench 1.3 score with old HDD: 44.37

The last of my three public talks on the #memoQ #Regex Assistant will be next Thursday, February 2nd, at 12pm Central European Time.
This series has focused on how ordinary, intelligent #translators and reviewers can use the power of #RegularExpressions to solve problems in #translation and #localization without getting bogged down in ugly, non-intuitive syntax.
Attendees are given a useful library of expressions to aid their work, which are organized with understandable names, labels and descriptions - all you need to find and apply them. Most of these expressions should be usable in other tools like #Trados Studio or #Xbench.

Users of memoQ version 9.9 or later have a powerful library tool available with which they can organize solutions or solution elements that use regular expressions and apply these without the complications of learning regex syntax. In each session, we'll look at different ways in which these portable libraries can be used, with a particular emphasis on solving common problems faced by translators and reviewers. Materials will also be made available to participants for later study and practice.
