A new #Mega65 #FPGA Core released today. The 10th Anniversary Edition.
Installed it together with the new rom as my new default and it works great. Lots of bug fixes and improvements.
And a new intro disk to go with the new system software. It's a bundle of new software, demos and games.
Almost a year ago and days from my birthday I got my #Mega65 delivered to the door. Within minutes I open up the package and started playing with my new toy.
And of course I forgot to pause and appreciate the time someone spent creating the cover art. So today I'm doing just that. The mega comes in a really nice box and it really creates the feeling of a true birthday present!

A weekend with #8bit computing!
Trying out some new demos and games on the #Mega65 and of course I copy everything that works onto a 3.5" #floppy.
Playing #megachase, a game written in #BASIC65 while listening to Bill Gates memoir "Source Code: My Beginnings".
So #BASIC, #8bitcomputing and #retrocomputing is very much a theme to this saturday!

Copied it to a floppy, poured a glass of wine and begun to play.
What a fantastic game on this #8bit machine.
A productive afternoon/evening in the #8bit world. Switched from coding natively on the #mega65 to setting up a cross platform development environment for #basic.
Then back to creating more #medieval #runes as a character set. Half way done but I need to revisit some. It's hard to make them accurate with blocks and few options for multiple diagonal lines.
Been rather fun writing hexadecimal letters in runes.

#Wargames - My favorite #movie of all time. With the #Mega65 version for the Wargames simulator I can be David Lightman myself.

Copied it onto a 3.5" #floppy to run on the mega. It's simulating David's #IMSAI8080 and #CPM with dialers and everything!
It's a game to be played on an #8bit machine for sure!

#MorphOS 3.19 Adventure day 2 on the #MacMiniG4
#Wayfarer updated to 9.0 and spent some time with understanding how to change desktop resolution, background etc. to 4:3 so I can easily switch between the mega65 and this on the Capture Card without different settings.
Being without the normal BSD/GNU tools makes computing a bit more complicated. And without a *nix filesystem structure I don't even know where to put the new browser :D
Been waiting for this day! The release of #MorphOS 3.19
Never really used MorphOS before. And I was never an #Amiga user either either (I left the #C64 for a 386).
Last year I've started exploring the "alternative universe" of #Commodore with the #Mega65. Now I will explore the #PowerPC Amiga Software on the #MacMiniG4.
Burned a CD and installed it. Quick and easy. Replaced my old "hacked" version of #MacOS9 that was installed on the unsupported #PPC #MacMini.
Just finished reading the 29th #Discworld novel Nightwatch and felt like I wanted play some #DiscworldMUD this morning.
The #Mega65 is such a great retro experience for stuff like this. Works great with #C64 Cartridges and software.
