A poll (in French 🇫🇷) by @cafou (via @cmconseils) inadvertently points out the vital importance of knowing the context when doing language translations:
Checking online, yes pêche is a translation for “fishing”, but also for peach 🍑.
Similarly, fraise may be a translation for “milling cutter” but also, and more relevantly, for strawberry 🍓!
What are some other crazy automated translations that you've seen?

I translate from Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin and Serbian (fka Serbo-Croatian) to US English.
I translate plays, prose, film subtitles, etc. I also edit, and esp love editing translations in collaboration with the translator.

A while back we had a gup.pe translator group here, but no more. I think a lot of #translators stayed on X or went to Bsky. There are active groups on FB as well. I like it here better.
