Nijsse and colleagues find that due to technological trajectories set in motion by past policy, a global irreversible solar tipping point may have passed where solar energy gradually comes to dominate global electricity markets, without any further climate policies. Uncertainties arise, however, over grid stability in a renewables-dominated power system, the availability of sufficient finance in underdeveloped economies, the capacity of supply chains and political resistance from regions that lose employment.

I have been a #RobertJordan fan for a long time. (Since the 90s it turns out). I loved the #WheelOfTime series and have enjoyed the streaming version. So stepping into #audiobook was a great surprise at this new perspective.
Having a male and female reader works well with Jordan’s theme of the make and female sides of the One Power. The narrators really bring the book to life. Volume 4 brings the Aile (spelling??) into the centre of the story and Mat Cauthorn’s luck is entertaining.
This book uses the foundations set in the earlier pieces well. I like the way he manages the different cultures and world views.
In short I have been sucked back in.

I’m up to the 7th ‘Rivers of London’ book, but re-reading them all to refresh my memory before I dive into it.
Urban fantasy/paranormal mystery are definitely my genres. If anyone can recommend similar reads, let me know

Rereading #LisaGardner's FBI Pierce Quincy profiler series is like visiting a long-lost friend.
I just finished TELL ME I'M WORTHLESS by Alison Rumfitt (2021, Nightfire Books) and it is a wonderful and brutal read. I did not realize that political horror could be done so well.
