My first ever #shortwave "on the air" using #WSPR was quite the success! I managed to be received at ER60tb (1000km off the north pole) on 20m and QE38lr (SE Australia, 16700km) on 10m, which is quite awesome!

I have to admit though that I was using 10W TX 😅 (which I reduced to 5W after the first contacts).

I'll stay on 20m for a bit and then probably call it a day.

The final parts needed for my QRP Labs Ultimate3S QRSS/WSPR kit has arrived. The PCB and components came fast from Turkey in a few days but the case has taken three weeks from China. I blame @bloor for starting this new #WSPR project! Sadly it’s all now here just as I’m preparing to travel to Rīga for our ninth #MikroTik BootCamp Training. 😢 I’ll have to wait until I return before attacking this with a soldering iron as some of this build like the bifolar wound transmformeds cannot be rushed!

Not much #FT8 on 20m right now and I just started listening for #WSPR (which will take a while to show up) but you can see #Morse is hopping on the lower end of the band.

Another #WSPR #PicoBalloon heard. This time it was a very familiar visitor KY4EOD. His balloon has been hears a few times before. So long! Hope to catch it during next circumnavigation.
20 minutes of WSPR in operation....#DP0GVN right at the start. 200mV 21MHz.
#WSPR

Giving 20m #WSPR a go for a few hours. 30 dbm (1W) on the Flex 6500. See if the OCF still does its job.

All the other antennas are down and packed ready for the shipping container to the UK. 😞

UPDATE: Sweet baby Jesus! Looks like the OCF works!

1294km with 20mW.

Nice.
