I havent been active on the bands for the most part.Today was an exception.
I worked Martnique in the mobile and Australia from the home station today.
My last dx contact that was out of the ordinary was Congo.
That made my dxcc up to 232
Not bad for a wire out in the air.

**Radio operators needed for the 2026 Wilderman Triathlon**

Lake Agassiz Radio Club will again be supporting communications at the @endracing Wilderman Iron-distance triathlon on July 18-19. People may be racing for up to 27 hours, but you don't need to be there the whole time.

We were out today activating POTA site IE-0228 from the National Botanic Gardens.

It was a lovely Sunday radio outing, and as far as we know it was the first ever POTA activation from the Botanic Gardens.

Thanks to Daniel McDowell EI8ICB and @tdr112 EI7IRB for taking part, and thanks as well to South Dublin Radio Club for their net.

Portable radio, fresh air, and a few nice contacts along the way. Hard to complain about that.

Funny, I just wrote a blog post about a problem I was having writing this app and then realize I should probably share what the app is! 🤦‍♂️

The app is a 🚀 space weather app for amateur radio enthusiasts trying to better understand radio propagation. It is aimed at newly licensed hams, but it is fascinating to learn about the topics my self!

Happy news from Hungary. Down the memory lane - a picture from my last visit to Budapest in 2018. I was there for business, but I took my Elecraft K1 #QRP transceiver and made a few #hamradio contacts from the Citadella park after my work was done.
