The unreal engine 5 “official tutorial” seems to be designed to create a PQ test (programmer quotient) so that people who can’t actually code never get it working.
(Examples:
Connect this input to “Health” - their engine pre-created that variable in the player BP as “Current HP”.
DoubleClick “fnBPIButtonOn” - ‘this tutorial’ created it earlier as “fnBPISwitchOn”.)
Seriously. Not a small amount of syntax/naming errors in it. Fortunately, after almost 50 years of coding, I quite enjoy squashing bugs and mistakes. 🤪👍
