All this whilst on a GrandCentral train.

I ordered a tea.

They served me a cup of hot water with the tea bag alongside.

Undoubtedly a First World problem, but this should not be a thing that ever occurs in the UK. Ever!

I tried to complain on their site, but I can't even bring my self to describe how horrifically bad that experience was...

At least it was #YorkshireTea

Since I am avoiding dairy, sugar and artificial sweeteners, I’ve given up coffee and exploring #tea that is good without any added sweetener.

I have kettle & infuser. Green teas are too bitter. I enjoy black and herbal teas. Mint, cinnamon, spices, fruits.

Help this newbie #teasnob - Overwhelmed with choice. Are there online stores that make selection easier? What’s best way to store loose teas and remember what’s on bag - or do you just keep the bag in a basket on counter the way I’m doing?

Since late February, at urging of neurologist to figure out source of idiopathic neuropathy (MS and most auto immune diseases ruled out) I’ve been on anti-inflammation diet avoiding dairy, eggs, gluten, grains, corn, sugar, artificial sweeteners, white potatoes. Heavy on berries, omega 3 fish, colorful root vegetables, nuts, and leafy greens.

Still have numbness more often than I’d like but feel good otherwise. And I’ve lost 15 lbs. Anyway…

Need some #teasnob community advice in next post…

I'm perilously close to running out of my "good" loose leaf tea, which means by Tuesday, if I only have one cup a day, I'm stuck drinking grocery store tea bag tea. 😖 #TeaSnob
Forgot to mention, Friday morning's tea was a recent purchase "Daily Milan Dancong." Here's how seller describes it: "Milan Dancong oolong tea from the Guangdong province of China. Made from Mi Lan varietal, which translates as honey orchid...
A bursting honey and floral aroma with strong flavor and fragrances that linger long after the tea is gone from your cup." Can't disagree - this was a very smooth tasting tea with an aroma of flowers. Will enjoy polishing this packet off. #Tea #TeaSnob.
I admit to being a tea snob, like some are coffee connoisseurs. I order my tea from the Upton catalogue. I’m partial to single-estate, tippy Assam - blended with just a taste of Lapsang Souchong to add that hint of smokiness. Milk and sugar are required, not optional so live with it. The result is the most heavenly hot beverage on the planet, none compares except perhaps proper chai (which I am not permitted as I do not tolerate black pepper). When it comes to Green tea, I prefer high-mountain grown (Alishan, Taiwan) Jin Xuan for its lovely floral notes. #Tea #TeaSnob #TeaDrinker
Hmh, my first time in the UK, a nation of tea drinkers, and the tea I've so far encountered has been terrible.
Am i just too much of a #teasnob ?

I'm almost out of #tea. The company I usually order from has had my favorite organic Assam tea on backorder for awhile now. I guess I better find another place to feed my loose leaf habit or I'm going to be stuck with grocery store bought Lipton junk. #TeaSnob
