Some people just love to throw away money.

We pulled into tonight's camp spot to find a gazebo propped up next to the garbage bin. The usual story: somebody bought it, used it, didn't understand the instructions, and broke it trying to pack it up. That happens a LOT.

Two of the cross braces for the same corner were snapped (Pic 1).

A bit of aluminium and four screws et voila! Fixed (Pic 2).

Does it look good? No, but I can replace the cross braces with new ones later. The dammed thing sells for $300, and we were looking at buying one, so ... 😁

This is difficult to do, but I am asking my #community for your #support and #generosity to help my #family in #Gaza. My family has made the extremely difficult decision to flee their beloved #homeland after four months of constant #bombings, #violence, and #starvation. I am #fundraising for eight members of my family to evacuate Gaza and seek #safety and #stability.

My family was #violently #displaced from their home in #GazaCity and are now living in #Rafah in a tent structure with little #food, no potable #water, no #electricity and no access to necessary #medicine or care for my diabetic uncle. The eight people includes my cousin's four month old #baby, born during this #bombardment. Every day is a struggle for #survival as they must #scavenge for food and wood for cooking while simultaneously being #surrounded by #tanks and enduring constant bombardment.

I have started this fundraising campaign because it has become necessary for them to #evacuate to #Egypt for safety and stability. They have lost everything in this #war, including my uncle's business and the family's only source of income. He owned a beloved dessert restaurant in the community (Bubbles), which was destroyed early on.

Unfortunately, the cost of #escape and temporary #shelter in Egypt is more than my family or I can afford so I am relying on your generosity to help my family find some peace. This is for one branch of my family in Gaza, eight people, who are hoping to escape.

An #Osprey (#PandionHaliaetus) gives Fox (the #photographer) a side-glance. The #fishhawk, as it is sometimes called, has excellent #vision, and can quickly dive down out of the air, nearly submerging themselves in the #water, to catch a #fish. They are also called #riverhawk or #seahawk. Their #diet is mainly #fish, but they will eat other small #animals. They rarely #scavenge.
This osprey is siting on a pole at the #Apopka #Wildlife Drive. When Fox began triggering the #shutter, the #bird heard the sound and glanced around to make sure Fox wasn’t up to anything more than #photography.
