The hydraulics that run the levelling jacks on the motorhome crapped out. The electric motor that runs the pump stopped electrically motoring.

So, out with the spanners.

Turns out two of the four brushes had jammed in their housings; they had worn down to the point where they no longer made contact with the rotor. Quite a bit of brush left, just unable to move.

Strip it down, tidy up the housings, smooth out the brushes, and Bob's Your Auntie. Put it all back together and away she went.

I'm probably going to have to find someone who can make new brushes for me one day; replacing the whole the motor will cost me over $800 to ship from the 'States, unless I can find a local (Australian) equivalent. Ouch.
