One of my #pond #fish had died overnight on Wednesday morning. It was a beautiful creature; so clean and perfect yet dead. 🙁

Since then I've been doing water tests, filter cleans and water changes. There'd been a small amount of Ammonia. Any Ammonia is too much. There is still a slight Nitrite reading; it's coming down but, again, any is too much.

I've had bad blanketweed since last year after never having had it before so I'm doing my best to bring that under control.

These fish came with the house and I often wish I'd told the previous owners to take them away. They're a responsibility and a burden and I feel guilty for thinking that way. 😕
