This is how the US is now.

And those of us in minority groups feel the sharp & pointy end of that first. Can I get employment? Maybe, maybe not. But then to do so I end up masking who I am, & providing my labour to who? For what? Companies hellbent on supporting the fascist regime? Local businesses so in thrall of the Maga cult that they wave Trump flags, have inflatable effigies of him and display their congrats to him on LED signs while coal-rolling? Or AI tech bros trying to get blood from a stone?

Although I do have a potential job lined up, I have my doubts about its viability for me. It only starts in a few months after I get training which itself is waiting for bureaucracy.

So now it looks like my hobby is fixing my Nintendo DS instead of playing with it.

Yesterday I couldn't quite get the potentiometer for the bottom screen to work quite right.

Oops, in my fiddling, I broke it off.

Well, now I have a replacement, but I'm going to need help soldering this tiny thing on. I found someone local who can help me! I'll take the thing over tomorrow for the soldering job.
