@federgeistchen Apfelrose ist es definitiv nicht, wenn sie bei höherer Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht nach Apfel riecht.
Rosa canina, die Hundsrose, hat dir plantnet nicht vorgeschlagen?
Du kannst ja nochmal gegenchecken , z.B. mit #floraincognita oder #obsidentify .
Was mir allerdings seit diesem Frühjahr auffällt: die Eindeutigkeit von Artenbestimmungen hat leider ziemlich nachgelassen. Ich hab noch nicht rausgekriegt, woran das liegt.....🤷‍♀️

I just tried to download the Observation and ObsIdentify apps as an alternative to iNaturalist after the latter team's decision to go on with their affair with Google generative AI. [Due to personal circumstances, I did not get the latest updates in the forum debate, so please correct me if something happened. I am the first to say that the issue seems better than it looked like at the beginning, but there still are too many concerns.]

It looks like I can neither download Observation from Aurora store nor use ObsIdentify without turning the Google positioning (i.e., tracking) services on, even if generic positioning is on and "essential" Google trackers are allowed through TrackerControl. Even iNat works a bit without positioning services on. I guess Observation is no better than iNat when it comes to respecting people's right to privacy, then...

Der Unterboden eines Taubenschwänzchens (Macroglossum stellatarum) wird anscheinend so selten fotografiert, dass #obsidentify mir erklären wollte, das sei mit 49% Wahrscheinlichkeit ein Turmfalke :D

The underside of a hummingbird hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum) is apparently so rarely photographed that #obsidentify wanted to tell me it was a kestrel :D

This is a strange one. According to both Apple Intelligence and Perplexity, this type of spider is called Oxyopes scalaris, the western lynx spider. However, these are native to North- and Central America. What are they doing in the Netherlands?

Hier lag #ObsIdentify daneben: Das ist wohl nicht Sapygina decemguttata, wie mit 100% vorgeschlagen, sondern Sapyga quinquepunctata, erkennbar an dem roten Abdomen. #nevertrustai Btw meine 1202te Specie auf naturgucker.de
