Before starting work today my cat made me go outside and watch while she does her usual "scratch the crap out of the Jasmine bush" business. I took the opportunity to check out how the flowering Japonica was doing.

It had LOADS of bees on it. Including one enormous Buff Tailed Bumblebee the size of my thumb (I'm thinking a queen) busying itself amongst the flowers.

Researchers in France observed #bumblebees travelling over great distances by hitching lifts on passenger airlines.
Queens, males and worker females were all recorded engaging in this behaviour - one anomaly was the very few numbers of female workers with full pollen baskets observed in recent years.
Scientists surmise this was possibly due to limitations on carry-on baggage allowance and excess charges by airlines.

For example, if FAA has an item for $11 and I want to be paid something for the sale of that item, I would increase the price of that item by $4. If you are interested in knowing, I have been with my husband since February of 1999. We had spent much time away from each other as he enlisted into the Air Force and left shortly after graduating from High School. A couple of times we had lived separately for two years, and six months at a time, and so many random weeks. My first week on base, I was alone because he was sent to another country!

If you were wondering how do people with no money travel, this was how. We were in the area and took day trips. Me taking up my art was a great way to explore whilst the kids were young. But now we are focused on fixing up our home and do not travel like we used to. Plus civilians do not get time off like the military do! ☹️ I cannot wait until we have enough line of credit to fix up the exterior, because it will be the last of the work and then I know that we will have free time to hike again! (🤞mobility issues.)
