Why then should I give my Readers bad Lines of my own, when good Ones of other People's are so plenty? 'Tis methinks a poor Excuse for the bad Entertainment of Guests, that the Food we set before them, tho' coarse and ordinary, is of one's own Raising, off one's…
Young Girl Standing Against a Background of Wheat, Vincent Van Gogh
Really love the colors used here, it blows my mind when I try to analyze or imagine how I could have come up with that on my own. I would like to understand his process or his system.
I'm sort of tired from work so maybe tomorrow I won't think that this girl carries all that is good and true about humanity under her little sun hat. All the flowers probably appeared when she did, like she has that kind of effect on the natural world. 😁

Accept modestly; surrender gracefully. [Ἄτύφως μὲν λαβεῖν, εὐλύτως δὲ ἀφεῖναι.] (Source (Greek)). Humanity 101 for the billionaire class
“Those who have more than they need must consider themselves a debtor to those who have less.”* — Saint Basil the Great (*quote text was updated to be more inclusive and relevant in 2026)

Charity – be a Mackenzie Scott, who gives generously without expectations. And by the way, political donations do not count as charity — those are self-serving.
Civics – community involvement pertains to voting, participating, speaking up, and especially paying your fair share in taxes. It does not pertain to bullying, taking advantage, using your wealth to get your way, or misusing the tax system.
Empathy – show empathy towards others who may be less fortunate than you or who may be suffering. Frankly, being a billionaire should include the “required responsibility” of being sympathetic towards the plight of others.
Gratitude – instead of expecting or receiving platitudes, express gratitude to those who helped you succeed, because it is NEVER done alone. Your co-workers, family, friends, employees, investors, and customers all played a part in success. Also show gratitude by paying a living wage, charging fair prices, and operating your organizations in a honest, equitable, and forthright manner.
Modesty – believe it or not, the world does not revolve around billionaires. Prioritize your own personal growth ahead of seeking validation from others. And…ostentatiousness is not a virtue.
Relevancy – scads of money does not necessarily make one relevant, but one’s humanity does.
Responsibility – take responsibility for your actions, especially the mistakes and certainly do not pin blame on others. Like it or not, when you are the head honcho the buck stops with you.
Self-reflection – surround yourself with people who are open and honest with you. The goal should be to always strive for improvement and to successfully pass Humanity 101.
