In diesem Thriller scheinen die Rollen Anfangs klar verteilt und geordnet zu sein. Aber der Schein trügt … Dieses Werk erzeugt in Kombination mit der außerordentlichen Kameraarbeit, dem ausgefeilten Drehbuch und der kammerspielartigen Atmosphäre ein zunehmend beklemmendes Gefühl. Er ist mit Sicherheit einer der herausragenden Psychothriller der 1960er Jahre und zu Unrecht weniger bekannt. Das wollen wir mit dieser Vorstellung ein klein wenig ändern.
