Poem for a solstice.

The solstice.
That time when after 6 months
of the Earth slowly leaning,
further and further
to the right,
The world shifts.
The seasons change.
Darkness is squeezed,
supressed,
pushed down, as with each day,
light creeps back in,
little by little,
bringing with it hope.
As shadows are chased into corners,
come, come back into the light.
Help chase the golden chariot
across a new sky,
burning with every spectrum of colour,
and tilt the world back to the left.

Is it rude if an Autistic (adult or child) spends holiday gatherings in their room, or opt out, instead of with the family?
