Going to chill out and continue re-watching popmaster tv. We are up to series 2 now but I'm not sure how great I will be at playing along as we have drunk the majority of a bottle of mead this evening. It was a very pleasant elderflower flavoured Lindesfarne mead #TOTP #PopmasterTV #Mead
Bottled up my pyment this afternoon. Fermented down from 1.13 to 1.01 - it still has a bit of sweetness, but the grape taste is VERY subtle. I wish it had a bit more of a punch, but it’s good :). #mead
Summertime and a cool beverage on the balcony, listening to the birds chirping away.

Back in the day when meadbrewing was commonplace, sometimes people added some hops and barley to the mix and made braggot. This is a very cool variant, flavoured with shots from pine trees! One of my favourites.

Now bottling 2025 Black Currant mead. My signature dry mead, honey and black currants and nothing more.

People say #brewing #alcohol is hard.
As someone who brews alcohol (Legal where i live to do so), i do agree.
Its so hard waiting for it to ferment, so you can enjoy a cold one with the boys!
Everytime i get home from work, i have to suffer smelling the progress i am making.

Last night's attempt to use (homebrew) mead to catch slugs was a faiiure, however, some rodent drank most of it, and is probably nursing a hangover. #gardening #slugs #mead
To split up the mundane task of sterilising and bottling my Merlot, I turned bottling day into #brewday :) A local #mead made with honey from Winterton, and a Nutmeg and Ginger #wine for no apparent reason.
Temp too high at the moment to pitch the yeast so i'm waiting an hour.
