AGI - Il Venezia torna in Serie A dopo un solo anno di purgatorio: i lagunari hanno pareggiato 2-2 sul campo dello Spezia e grazie alla contemporanea sconfitta del Monza per 3-2 a Mantova hanno potuto festeggiare la promozione con un turno di anticipo. Per la squadra di Stroppa, imbattuta da 13 partite, sono andati a segno Yeboah (7') e Sagrado (70'), poi la rimonta dei liguri con Valoti (73') e Artistico (90'). I brianzoli sono ora terzi a -3 dal secondo posto del Frosinone, a un punto dalla promozione diretta. L’orrore corre sul web. A ricordarcelo è l’indagine portata avanti dal Centro nazionale per il contrasto alla pedopornografia online (C.N.C.P.O.), che ha scoperto un giro di pedopornografia tra più persone che si scambiavano in rete materiale raffigurante bambini in tenera età, costretti a subire indicibili abusi sessuali. Una scoperta inquietante, a seguito della quale la Polizia di Stato ha eseguito l’arresto in flagranza di reato di tre persone: un 70enne con precedenti specifici in provincia di Belluno, un 63enne residente nel Mantovano e un 28enne nel Comasco. Oltre a loro, sono state denunciate a piede libero altre sei persone.
Secondo quanto riferito dalle autorità in una nota, l’inchiesta è stata condotta anche grazie a operazioni di infiltrazione in questa rete degli orrori. L’attività investigativa, iniziata nel 2024, ha permesso di monitorare in maniera continuativa i canali di distribuzione del materiale illecito a livello transnazionale. Un’inchiesta delicata che, proprio per la sua dimensione internazionale, ha visto la collaborazione tra le autorità italiane e gli agenti del Federal Bureau of Investigation degli Stati Uniti.
A coordinare le indagini è stata la Procura di Roma, che ha accertato la disponibilità del materiale illecito e raccolto elementi significativi sulle attività svolte dagli utenti coinvolti. Sulla base di tali riscontri, i magistrati hanno emesso nove decreti di perquisizione domiciliare, personale e informatica nei confronti degli indagati, ai quali vengono contestati, a seconda delle singole posizioni, i reati di detenzione e diffusione di materiale illecito. To remind us of it is the investigation carried out by the National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography (C.N.C.P.O.), which uncovered a trafficking network of child pornography involving multiple individuals who exchanged material online depicting children in tender age, forced to undergo unspeakable sexual abuse. A disturbing discovery, following which the Italian State Police carried out the arrest in flagrante of three individuals: a 70-year-old with specific prior convictions in the province of Belluno, a 63-year-old resident in Mantua, and a 28-year-old in Como. In addition to them, another six people were reported to authorities.
According to a statement by the authorities, the investigation was also conducted thanks to infiltration operations into this network of horrors. The investigative activity, which began in 2024, has allowed for the continuous monitoring of the channels for the distribution of illicit material at a transnational level. During the investigations, the spread of explicit content targeting minors was identified, generated even with the use of artificial intelligence.

Based on these findings, the magistrates issued nine search warrants, residential, personal, and computer, against the investigated, who are charged, depending on their individual positions, with the crimes of possession and dissemination of illicit material. The searches, carried out by the Italian State Police, involved the Cyber Security Operational Centers (C.O.S.C.) of Bari, Cagliari, Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin, and Venice.

Born in Mantua on April 17th, 1447, as a youth, Baptist joined the Carmelites of the Congregation of Mantua at Ferrara. He made his religious profession in 1464 and served in many positions of responsibility in the community; he was vicar general of his congregation six times, and in 1513 was elected prior general of the whole Order. In his own time, he was a renowned humanist ‘who brought his richly varied poetry into the service of Christ.” He used his friendships with scholars as an opportunity of encouraging them to live a Christian life. He died in Mantua on March 20th, 1516.

We draw hope from the consolation of scripture
You will find that the reading of sacred scripture is a great and powerful remedy against bodily suffering and depression of mind. In my opinion, there is no other writing, no matter how eloquent and stylish it may be, that can bring such peace to our minds and so thoroughly dissolve our cares as sacred scripture can.
I speak from personal experience: for there have been times when I was beset with anxieties, the worst of which came from the experience of my own weakness, and if on such occasions I sought relief in the scriptures, the hopes, and desires that led me there were never disappointed. The word of scripture proved to be a solid bulwark against my anxieties and a relief to my troubled spirit.
I have often wondered why the scriptures have this persuasive power, why they have such a powerful effect of those who listen to them, and why they lead us to the commitment of faith and not to the mere forming of opinion. This response of faith does not happen because of a reasoning process, because scripture does not offer one; and it is not a matter of literary style or artistic merit, because scripture does not use these devices; nor does it use soft words to persuade us.
The real reason that scripture has this persuasive power is that it comes from First Truth. Surely there can be no other explanation for such conviction. It seems as though scripture has an inherent authority that compels us to believe. But on what base does this authority rest? None of us has seen God preaching, writing, teaching — and yet we believe as though we had seen, and realize that what we read comes from the Holy Spirit. One reason for believing may well be that the truth contained in scripture is very solid truth, even though it is not as clear as we might wish. All truth has an inherent power to win our acceptance: the greater the truth, the greater its power.
So why is it, then, that not all believe the good news? My reply is that not all are drawn by God. However, there is no point in arguing further. We believe in sacred scripture to the degree that we accept in our hearts God’s divine inspiration.

Esprimo vicinanza anche alla redazione di Report e a Sigfrido Ranucci, che da anni portano avanti un lavoro di approfondimento che qualcuno può definire scomodo, ma che è necessario per il servizio pubblico e per un'informazione libera, che non può essere minacciata dalla violenza”, sottolinea il Presidente del Consiglio regionale del Veneto.
