Agi: Treni, stop alla linea Roma - Firenze per un weekend

AGI - Fine settimana difficile per chi viaggia in treno.  Allo scoccar della mezzanotte, infatti, ci sarà lo stop della circolazione tra Roma e Firenze fino alle 15 di domenica 12 aprile. Il blocco si deve ai lavori che Rete ferroviaria italiana effettuerà per l'attivazione del sistema Ertms (European Rail Traffic Management System), con conseguente sospensione della circolazione sia dell'alta velocità sia della linea convenzionale per 39 ore.
In particolare, le attività interesseranno la tratta Orvieto-Settebagni, completando l'installazione del sistema Ertms sull'intera direttrice AV Roma-Firenze. L'investimento complessivo è di circa 147 milioni di euro, finanziati anche con fondi Pnrr. "L'introduzione dell'Ertms consentirà un miglioramento dell'affidabilità, della regolarità della circolazione e della qualità del servizio, nell'ambito del più ampio piano di innovazione della rete ferroviaria nazionale", si legge nel comunicato della società del gruppo Fs che definisce l'intervento un "passaggio strategico per il potenziamento tecnologico della rete ferroviaria".
Dalle 14 di oggi, 11 aprile, intanto, e fino alle 5 di domenica, è scattata l'interruzione della tratta Orte-Roma Tiburtina (Roma-Firenze convenzionale), sempre per consentire gli interventi di attivazione del sistema Ertms. Durante il periodo dei lavori le linee Roma-Firenze AV e convenzionale non potranno quindi essere percorse dai treni ed è prevista una forte riduzione dei collegamenti con soluzioni di spostamento alternative percorrendo la linea Tirrenica. La circolazione riprenderà progressivamente dal pomeriggio del 12 aprile, con possibili allungamenti dei tempi di viaggio, e tornerà regolare da martedì prossimo.
Disagi sulla linea convenzionale
Questa mattina, invece, sempre sulla linea Roma-Firenze convenzionale si sono registrati dei disagi con rallentamenti fino a 70 minuti a causa di un inconveniente tecnico sulla linea in prossimità di Orte, ma dalle 11 la circolazione ferroviaria è ripresa gradualmente.

Trains, stop to the Rome - Florence line for a weekend.

Difficult weekend for travelers by train. At midnight, there will be a shutdown of traffic between Rome and Florence until 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 12th. The block is due to the work that Rete Ferroviaria Italiana will carry out to activate the Ertms (European Rail Traffic Management System) system, resulting in a suspension of traffic for both high-speed and conventional lines for 39 hours.

Specifically, the activities will affect the Orvieto-Settebagni section, completing the installation of the Ertms system on the entire AV Rome-Florence line. The total investment is approximately €147 million, funded also with PNRR funds. "The introduction of Ertms will allow for an improvement in reliability, the regularity of traffic, and the quality of service, within the broader plan for innovation of the national railway network," reads the company’s statement from the FS group, which defines the intervention as a “strategic step for the technological upgrading of the railway network.”

Starting from 2:00 PM today, April 11th, and until 5:00 AM on Sunday, the interruption of the Orte-Roma Tiburtina section (Rome-Florence conventional) has also been triggered, in order to allow for the activation of the Ertms system. During the works period, the Roma-Florence high-speed and conventional lines will not be able to be traveled by trains, and there will be a significant reduction in connections using alternative solutions along the Tyrrhenian line. Traffic will gradually resume from the afternoon of April 12th, with possible extensions of travel times, and will return to normal from next Tuesday.

Disruptions on the conventional line

This morning, on the Rome-Florence conventional line, disruptions were registered with delays up to 70 minutes due to a technical issue on the line near Orte, but from 11:00 AM traffic gradually resumed.
