Hereâs another example of contrast. In the background, a banner for the Olympic Games shows all the celebration and success. But up front, thereâs a duvet and a pair of shoes on a park benchâjust a reminder of homelessness. Itâs easy to look away, clean up, and keep moving. But how often do we stop and think about how quickly anyone could end up in that situation? When safety nets fail, the reality becomes impossible to ignore.
And just to be clear, Iâm not posting this to get likes or attention. I really couldnât care less if anyone likes my photos. What I want to show is the side we usually look past. Maybe we need to remind ourselves more often of how lucky we are? We often take our comfort for granted, but itâs fragile. Small changes in circumstances can have a big impact.
I could also question myself, whether itâs fair or not to expose these people. But then again, whatâs the alternative? Ignoring them entirely?
