Having one of those days where you just slay a giant list of lingering 10-minute tasks. Lightbulb here, bills paid there, stupid couch pile cleared! Hitting the subsidance part of the day, but hopeully I can use it to keep nibbling at some donations and other paper bits that seem to encircle my spot in the family room....

A bad summer for apples. As for pretty much everything we grow outdoors here. A bad summer. It was much too cold when the blossoms should have been pollinated.

Only one of our six trees is bearing fruit. It's the big old one that I've posted about before, dating back to the Tsarist era. It bears fruit every year, doesn't care about the conditions. Crazy fertility.
