A record collector died 😿 in a house on my way back from the 🚲 shop where I had to go to get my breaks fixed

Stuck walking, I treated myself to ice cream then got some of his books on my surprisingly pleasant trip home

Also stopped at #MassyBooks, which you should visit if you’re in #Vancouver

A memorable haul!

#AliceHall “Pennies from Heaven” (Capital, 1949?)

This and the equally high B side “Caravan” are her only studio recordings

WTH!?! ❤️‍🔥🪗

I found them in the archives of a Swiss #Accordion museum

I put them on YouTube in an act of #copyright liberation

I assume Hall didn’t have a copy or she would have suggested it to Michal Shapiro as she was producing the Planet 🌍 🪗 #Squeezebox collection 😔
