Here's the full progression.
I'm really digging this 2-5 move with its 3 shared chord tones. Simple, elegant, groovy. That E6 on top just sounds sweet to my ears. For a little fun, slide our 1 chord down 1 fret & then back up into the 1.

https://youtu.be/l_9mkOIptlgToday's chord is E6, the 1 in our 2-5-1 in E. Based on an open F triad, our 3(G#) is on string 4, our 5(B) on string 3 is moved up 2 frets to become our 6(C#), our root(E) is on string 2, & our 3(G#) on string 1 is moved up 3 frets to become our 5(B).
Today's chord is B7, the 5 in our 2-5-1 in E. Based on an open A7, our b7(A)/3(D#) pair is on strings 4 & 3, our 5(F#) is on string 2, & our root(B) on string 2 is moved down 2 frets to double our b7(A).
This simplifies fingering & is a great way to play B7 if you struggle with barre chords.
If you've ever played an open G7 to open G in a song, you'll notice the fingering similarity, albeit on strings 2-4, in this 2-5 move.

Triads are a solid & effective way to start out a 2-5-1. Looking like a G7 on the wrong strings, you've got this sweet chord.

Today's chord is my 2nd favourite minor chord, Fm6. Based on an open Fm chord, our b3(Ab) is on string 4, our 5(C) on string 3 is moved up 2 frets to become our 6(D), our root(F) is on string 2, & our 5(C) is on string 1.
For the record, Cm6 (2333) is my favourite minor chord, but I felt this one is easier to play.
