Social media’s “infinite scroll” was meant to simplify browsing, but its inventor now says it fuels harmful engagement loops. Recent jury verdicts against Meta and Google focused on design choices—not content—and could reshape how platforms handle attention, safety, and kids’ mental health. #TechEthics #SocialMedia #DesignChoices

Lmao, this keychain is amazing! It has a padded compartment for storing two Viagra pills, a little blue LED flashlight so she can show you where the clit is, ...and the batteries aren't replaceable—guaranteeing that it would flop eventually, never to be revived again 🤣

Someone designed this.

I’m thinking of transitioning out of motion design. Or perhaps just out of my niche of explainer videos. Have you ever thought about transitioning out of your chosen career? Did you do it? How did that go? #motionDesign #MotionGraphics #design #designer #designCareer #designChoices #careerPath

Nice service from USPS. They scan the covers of incoming mail (as much as possible, though they occasionally miss some) and then email the scans. However, their approach to displaying the days of the week leaves me scratching my head:

Today-Yesterday-Thursday-Wednesday-Tuesday-Monday-Sunday.

It's an interesting choice, and I can't help but wonder if the UX designers thought this was the most user-friendly approach. Intriguingly, I've never encountered this layout in any other interface! #USPS #UserExperience #DesignChoices

@theheatwarps really a shame they dropped Keith Jarrett haha #designchoices
#MetatextTip take pictures using your camera app and not Metatext, so if your attempt to post to a mastodon account fails for some reason (networking weirdness, gremlins, too much traffic for the poor server, whatever) it will still be available to you for trying again later. Metatext does not store snaps in your Photos Library until *after* a successful upload. <shrug/> #DesignChoices
