USPS postmark change: What you need to know about the date on your mail - Postmarks may be delayed for days after mailing. Currently, it is the day the post office gets the mail.

If you need to prove when you mailed time sensitive mail, you will have to ask an employee at the post office retail counter to hand-cancel, or manually apply a postmark, to the item. There is no charge for the service, up to 50 items.

That hand-stamp will reflect the actual date it was submitted to #USPS

Other alternatives is to pay for premium mail services, or certified or registered mail.

So the #USPS has filed a FRN about its pending rules to enforce the Trump EO on #Vote by #Mail #Ballots

Without legal action, they are forced to comply, and this published notice is their expected rules by which they will act.
Comments are due by July 2nd, and must be submitted via email using process outlined at the beginning of the FRN.
