Ah, yes, the riveting saga of obituaries—a tale so compelling it's like narrating a phone book 📖💤. Who knew chronicling the art of saying "they kicked the bucket" could be this *thrilling*? Clearly, some folks need a hobby outside of eulogizing every printed word in #history. 📜🧐

Oh, look! A groundbreaking revelation: engineers sometimes say "no!" 🙄 Groundbreaking stuff here, folks! Let's just call them "ZIRP phenomenon" and pretend that's a thing while we nod wisely and pretend we're not just baffled by #buzzwords. 😂🌟

Look who's #backtracking from the land of #Rust to the cozy confines of #Ruby, like a tech hipster rediscovering vinyl records 📼. After a whopping 30k lines of code, our hero bravely ventures into the "thrilling" world of typing initiatives—oh, the exhilaration! 🙄 Ruby may be "terse," but this article certainly isn't.

From Rust to Ruby

Who does things like that?!? Apparently: me. I have my own project, written in Rust. Not a big one, mind you, maybe approx. 30k lines of code in total. Rust is verbose so it’s not really that impressive. I’ve put it aside for some time and was toying with local inference, LLMs, writing agents and my attention was brought to Ruby. It’s been a while. So I had to take a look around to remind myself what Ruby and Ruby on Rails are doing nowadays. They’re doing quite well. There are some typing initiatives (Sorbet), and the language itself is terse as ever.

🎉 So apparently, #AI has "solved" everything from #animation to #academia, leaving us mere mortals to twiddle our thumbs and enjoy our cooked careers. 👨‍🎓🍳 Meanwhile, the AI bros are busy patting themselves on the back for their next-token prophecy, as if predicting the next word in a sentence is akin to solving world peace. 🌍🔮

Scientists say they’ve reversed brain aging with a simple nasal spray

Researchers at Texas A&M have developed a nasal spray that appears to reverse brain aging by calming inflammation and restoring the brain’s energy systems. After just two doses, memory and cognitive function improved for months, raising hopes for future treatments targeting dementia and brain fog.
