In the center of the frame, with it's elegant belfry, clock tower and cupola is Somerville City Hall, 93 Highland Ave, Somerville MA photographed from Buck Hill. The building dates to 1852, and is twelve miles away from Buck Hill.
To the upper left of City Hall is the Summit Apartments, 425 Broadway, Somerville MA. Almost directly above this is rocky outcrop containing Wright's Tower, Medford MA, which looks a lot like the observation towers on the top of Great Blue Hill and at the base of Chickatabut.
To the upper right of City Hall is St Ann Catholic Church, 399 Medford St, Somerville MA.
To the lower right is the research and development building for Pfizer Inc, 1 Portland St, Cambridge MA.
To the lower left is West Village Residence Complex H, Northeastern University, 440 Huntington Ave, Boston MA. In front of this is the back portion of the United House of Prayer, 206 Seaver St, Dorchester MA
And that brings us to the two objects that are visible above the horizon. There is one object directly above City Hall and one object directly above Wright's Tower. There are not really any visible features on either of these, just a gray outline that implies the shape of them. So the following is speculation on my part as to what we are looking at here. The object on the right lines up with the Fuller Memorial Bell Tower, 200 Main St, Andover MA on the campus of Phillips Academy Andover. The object on the left lines up with Cochran Chapel, 2 Chapel Ave, Andover MA. Keep in mind that if my theory is correct, this is a bell tower and a church steeple that are thirty miles away. For perspective, the Dorchester church at the bottom of the frame is six and a half miles away.
I am hoping that this winter I will be able to get some better imagery of everything in this frame and perhaps confirm that my speculation is correct. In the best conditions this is a challenging line of site because of the sheer amount of urban area that this crosses. On the best day, this is looking through a lot of exhaust emissions and ozone.
