This storm was so bad that it turned us in #MedfordMA.
Also, you can now park a whole Volkswagen perpendicular to the sidewalk.
Also some larval instar vehicles bide their time until spring.

This Saturday we will do a short and snowy 30 to 45 minute MTB ride in the Middlesex Fells to join nationwide cycling communities standing with Minneapolis and the initiatives started by @angrycatfish. We ride in solidarity with the people of Minneapolis in memory of Alex Pretti, Keith Porter, Renee Good, Parady La, Heber Sanchaz Dominguez, Victor Manuel Diaz, Luis Beltran Yanez-Cruz, Luis Gustavo Nunez Cacares, Geraldo Lucas Campos, and everyone who has suffered at the hands of ICE. The ride starts & ends at JRA Cycles. Meet at 3:45, Ride at 4pm. This ride is beginner friendly and open to everyone with a MOUNTAIN BIKE or FAT BIKE. The speed will be slow, the distance short, and we expect to walk parts of the fire roads because of the poor conditions. We’ll be there and we encourage you to be there too. HELMETS and Front + Rear LIGHTS required. From @angrycatfish: “Alex was one of us, could’ve been any of us, so as we mourn, all of us can come together in unity to remember Alex for what he was. A kind and caring soul put on this earth to be the light for others. Although his light has been extinguished by this fascist regime, it hasn’t been lost. If anything, those sparks fell and ignited something in us that’s been hiding all along. We are stronger together, and they can’t take us all. We’ve gathered together a community of cyclists to remember Alex Pretti. Please join in, near or far this Saturday, 1/31”".

Boston area peeps: A suspected #norovirus outbreak has closed a #MedfordMA elementary school this week, with 130 out of 600 students absent this Wednesday.
Reminder that hand sanitizer doesn't do anything to norovirus—you need to use soap and water on your hands, and bleach on surfaces.
It's also *very persistent* on surfaces, and can be transmitted on vomit aerosols (a phrase that I'm not happy to have learned).
Due to a high number of students and staff members continuing to experience symptoms as a result of the suspected spread of Norovirus at the Roberts Elementary School, there will be no school again for students and staff at the Roberts on Friday, December 12. All other schools in the district will have school tomorrow, Friday, December 12.
