Tomorrow (Sunday, April 19, 2026) is the first MIT swap of the year. This is an electronics flea market/hamfest held at MIT inside of a parking garage every month during the non-winter months. Just watched a dude in #CambridgeMA sit down at my local cafe, unfold his laptop, realize his table is wobbly, and proceed to take out of his backpack an enormous pile of notes with what looks like linear algebra scrawled all across it.

He looked through the stack, folds a few up, and used it as a wedge under the legs of the table to stabilize it.

Guess that wasn’t important math.
