Sunrise this morning, Apr 6th, from Buck Hill!

A super windy morning with quickly changing cloud cover. Some mornings the rock steals the show!

Dawn and sunrise this morning, Mar 28th, from Buck Hill!

There was just enough cloud cover on the horizon this morning to prevent a really colorful sky, but the cloud patterns were still quite nice. In an unusual wildlife sighting, I saw a duck on top of the hill. There's a first time for everything!

Dawn and sunrise this morning, Mar 15th, from Buck Hill!

My first sunrise on the hill in nearly two months. The deep snow kept me from both my usual parking spot and from hiking. I did make a couple of snow treks up the hill, but I did not have the proper gear for the conditions. If one looks closely at the first photo one can see a waning crescent moon.

Cape Cod Space Force Station (42 mi), Bourne MA photographed from Buck Hill.

Yes, you can see to Cape Cod from Buck Hill, but just barely. I took this photo almost two years ago and have been trying ever since to get a better image of this site, but without success. I decided to try to do some enhancement to this image, and I felt the result was reasonably good.

This station is located on Flatrock Hill in Bourne MA. This image shows four wind turbines located at the station. The two turbines on the left are almost right on top of each other, so their turbine blades appear to overlap a bit. Just to the left of these, I believe is the outline of the Early Warning Radar facility, which is a huge building. There is no 3D Google Earth imagery of this, but based on the shadows of the 2D image, this building is of similar height to the wind turbine towers.

The cell or communication tower (23.88 mi) located between the two wind turbines on the right is on Joe Freitas Way, Plympton MA

The Center for Life Science Boston (8.69 mi), 3 Blackfan St, Boston MA photographed from Buck Hill.

The large building to the right is the François-Xavier Bagnoud Building, 651 Huntington Ave, Boston MA. In between this building and the Life Science building is the top of the Harvard Institutes of Medicine building, 4 Blackfan Circle.

Below these, two houses can be clearly seen. These are 222 and 226 Parker Hill Ave, Boston MA.

On the right is a senior living complex, Maple On Franklin (5.23 mi), 120 N Franklin St, and on the left is Franklin Square (5.22 mi), 140 N Franklin St, both in Holbrook MA, photographed from Buck Hill.

The two houses on the left are 127 and 123 N Franklin St. On the right is a house at 106 N Franklin St directly in front of the Abington Bank branch office, 95 N Franklin St.
