The wind is blowing the cracked ice into a pile at Fresh Pond and it sounds like a xylophone. Turn up the audio to hear it!
On New Years Eve we went to the “FIRST NIGHT PIPES AND POPS CONCERT” at Old South Church. They opened with the Star Trek:The Next Generation theme before the National Anthem. It’s probably the Boston area anthem anyway. They should have requested people to stand…..
Had a nice time at the 250th anniversary of the first American flag raising in Somerville Massachusetts today. Bitterly cold, but a nice turnout and a really nice ceremony. The blue sky provided an excellent backdrop to the new flag. George Washington and his horse were there as well! #somervillema

Used greaseweazle to recover old DOS floppies from the 1980s including an essay I used to apply to college. My family is getting a kick out of it, though incredulous of the essay! I need to write up the process since it was surprising hard to get working with non-standard 320KB MS-DOS 1.1 floppies! #retrocomputing #greaseweazle

You might noticed a bunch of the kids are carrying reeds like centurions at the top of the hill and all of their mothers were saying “you can’t sled with that, it will poke your eye out” My wife kept telling them they looked cool. Sorry Cambridge moms.
