Yes, you can see to Cape Cod from Buck Hill, but just barely. I took this photo almost two years ago and have been trying ever since to get a better image of this site, but without success. I decided to try to do some enhancement to this image, and I felt the result was reasonably good.

This station is located on Flatrock Hill in Bourne MA. This image shows four wind turbines located at the station. The two turbines on the left are almost right on top of each other, so their turbine blades appear to overlap a bit. Just to the left of these, I believe is the outline of the Early Warning Radar facility, which is a huge building. There is no 3D Google Earth imagery of this, but based on the shadows of the 2D image, this building is of similar height to the wind turbine towers.

The cell or communication tower (23.88 mi) located between the two wind turbines on the right is on Joe Freitas Way, Plympton MA

The large building to the right is the François-Xavier Bagnoud Building, 651 Huntington Ave, Boston MA. In between this building and the Life Science building is the top of the Harvard Institutes of Medicine building, 4 Blackfan Circle.

Below these, two houses can be clearly seen. These are 222 and 226 Parker Hill Ave, Boston MA.

Harbor Towers (9.98 mi), East India Row, Boston MA photographed from Buck Hill.

To the right is Mt Hood in Melrose MA. On top of it is Slayton Tower (16.5 mi), also sometimes referred to as Mt Hood Tower, 100 Slayton Rd which is dwarfed by a large cell tower (16.69 mi) behind it. Both towers are on the property of the Mt Hood golf course. I have been told that Slayton Tower can be visited and climbed during normal hours of operation for the golf course, though I have not visited yet.

To the left of the left Harbor Tower, the last few steel truss sections of the Maurice J Tobin Memorial Bridge (11.94 mi), Chelsea MA can be seen. The bridge connects US Route 1 between Boston and Chelsea. The portion that can be seen from Buck Hill are the last truss sections on the Chelsea side.

It will be interesting to see if the Citgo sign becomes visible in this bearing after it gets moved eastwards this April.

Another revisit of Somerville City Hall (11.95 mi), 93 Highland Ave, Somerville MA photographed from Buck Hill.

The restoration and repairs of the belfry and clock tower are now complete and I was fortunate to capture this image on an exceptionally clear afternoon. With a couple of exceptions, I have tried to avoid repeats since starting this project, but this beautiful building deserves a third post.

Also visible is the golden cross catching the late day sun atop St Ann Catholic Church (12.2 mi), 399 Medford St, Somerville MA. To the right of this is another chrurch which perhaps previously escaped my attention. City on a Hill Church Somerville and Vida Real Internacional (12.5 mi), 404 Broadway, Somerville MA

It is also a view that is threatened by development. The planned 2 Charlesgate West development plan sits directly in line between Buck Hill and Somerville City Hall.
