I also sometimes write in Hindi - for this one I got to spend time with Canadian Comedian Sandra Shamas and talked about how she started in the industry and her life on her farm in rural Ontario.

I really enjoy writing profiles and want to do more. One of my favourites was when I got to hang out a year or so ago with one of my improv / clown teachers, Ken Hall, whom you might know from People of Earth (Jeff the Grey) and Umbrella Academy (Herb).

#3GoodThings @3goodthings here are mine for today.

1. Weather is getting cold but I'm getting better at dressing for it.
2. I got out of the habit of in person volunteering when the pandemic started and just realized I could start that again.
3. Somehow I found a company to work at that can approach a very crucial deadline with good humour and pragmatism. This made a challenging work day an easy interpersonal one.

How does poetry help us process our emotions? How can we write about the emotions that are universal, such as grief and loss, without using clichés? #PoetryWorkshop Join Jonaki Ray for Images and Emotions: Poetry and the Senses: https://crowcollectiveworkshops.com/2021/12/06/poetry-3/

I started this free online writing group because I wanted people to have a place to come where they could write to prompts and then share (or not share, also totally cool) their writing. Sound like fun? We meet November 20 next. Check it out here: https://crowcollectiveworkshops.com/2022/02/04/umbrella-writing-groups-rain-and-snow/

buckle up, friendlies, it's story time. this one's for @viv & will probably be a meandering long one:

So. My parents moved to a secluded village-town/hill station in South India around the time my brother & I moved out. And like other hilly regions in that state, there are vast coffee plantations all over. Their place, in fact, is part of a coffee estate/ horticultural zone/ quiet residential area.

A couple of friends & I went down there last year for a small getaway. (contd.)

Did you know that if you capitalize each word in a multi-word hashtag, #ScreenReaders can read them as words, but if you leave them lowercase, they can't? Well, now you know! So, for #accessibility, please capitalize words when there's more than one in a hashtag.
