#3GoodThings #Today

1. A nice long bubble bath after dinner paired with fresh washed sheets for bed tonight.

2. New sewing commission!

3. Painting time and it turned out cute.

1) All laundry done! Even though we got a late start.
2) Started to ramp down frequency of an old medication as a new one builds up strength. Either one seems fine, but that in between zone is not fun.
3) Big bruiser cat’s birthday, and he and the tortie both got some tuna to celebrate!

-convinced someone who wanted me to download What's App to download Signal instead

-had a video call with a long-ago ex-girlfriend. I have strange and mixed feelings about the whole thing, but it was neat to see her after all these years, and also to see how her art has evolved since we were (basically) youths.

-great dinner not made by me, and good company as well

#3GoodThings from today:

1. Today's service at my UU congregation, both the sermon itself (a meditation on the poetry of Mary Oliver) and the richness of being in a community with so many people.

2. The Goblin's coy smile when she was blinking the nap from her eyes and spotted me watching her.

3. Actually remembering to mount my drive after dismounting and fscking it. I always forget this step, then I reboot and things are unsurprisingly broken.

#3GoodThings

1. My phone survived its sudden dousing 💦 🐐

2. Found a small, golden egg in my bag? The fae strike again

3. Really enjoying Baba Is You. I jump in for a few stages one or two times a day. The logic puzzles are a brain food I've been missing.

🫶 Today’s #3GoodThings:

- my mom and cousin arrived safely after a three-day roadtrip
- I cleaned my dang heart out and the house is sparkling for our guests
- FunkyPlaid comes home tomorrow

• A conversation with my parents ended in hilarity about drama at their Bible study. I can’t tell you how huge this is. Our relationship has been healing by leaps and bounds lately, with them finally able to hear things that I’ve been trying for decades to communicate about my beliefs and experiences (pagan/animist) and with me now better able to appreciate good things (like community, patience, and forgiveness) that their beliefs do for them.

• I worked a full weekend at the bookshop (because sales were good), thoroughly enjoying it: talking with chatty customers, reading a fun book (The House in the Cerulean Sea, by TJ Clune) while people browsed quietly, and organizing and pricing new batches of used books between bouts of customers.

• With my 20-percent discount, I bought a nice hardcover sketchbook in anticipation of starting a practice of watercolor-painting scenes or feelings from my dreams. I’m excited and nervous, because I haven’t done any painting to speak of in a long time.

Three good things for today: 3/22/2026

1. Watched and listened to a raven soaring high in the sky.
2. Replaced the screen protector on the phone. It had done it's job and broke, protecting the screen.
3. Phone call with one of my sisters.

3 good things for today:

- wrote more postcards to voters, I’m about halfway through now

- enjoyed watching several episodes of “Dr. Mike Reacts to The Pitt”

- had a really good conversation with my partner about something important to me. He’s so supportive and I feel really lucky to have him.
