chris actualHad one of those rides this weekend where it was hard to get motivated, then when I got on the road, I wasn't feeling it the first 15-or-so miles. The climb was tougher than normal, but i plodded through. Things got better toward the top, and by the time i hit the hairpin descent I was hooting and hollering all the way down. Lots of throwing the bike into turns, going almost too fast. Felt like riding on rails. The rest of the ride was under sunny skies. So glad I went out. #bikes #bicycles

Oh, had a deer jump right across my path while riding offroad in Georgia. Scared the shit out of me, might have killed me.
See snakes fairly regularly off road, and sometimes on road, over the years. Don't want to stop, although sometimes I have to, sometimes bunny hop them.

Many years ago I was riding through town in traffic when one of those big green Japanese Beatles went right down my throat. And then proceeded to try and climb out.
It's worse than it sounds. They taste really, really, bad. My eyes were watering, I couldn't see, I was choking. I could feel it's legs climbing. Did I mention I was in trafiic?
It finally came up far enough that I spit it out.
Did I mention they taste really bad?
Tonight's ride;
Went to the Summer Night Market at the MSA Annex, bought some 9 Lives hot sauce, looked at all the pretty things, girls in their summer clothes as Bruce would say.
Saw band playing at R-Bar in the alley by the Rialto, pretty good, watched them for a bit. https://themodeens.com
Rode around and got tired. I love riding around the city at night. So many things I would never see in a car. The day too, but another world at night.
