#Fiberuary I told you that I'd show you what became of these breed sampler yarns. They became this truly massive triangular shawl/blanket thing.
This is more or less this pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hansel-half-version except that I just kept going until I was out of yarn.
Norfolk Southern has a history of lobbying against safety regulations. Two years ago the union said that they were understaffed, that "just in time" BS was dangerous. And now an Ohio town is contaminated with toxic gas.
*very sarcastic slow clap*
This isn't getting enough news coverage despite lots of explosions and fire-- so if you don't know what I'm talking about please look it up.

For week 2 (texture) day 3, here are my first twisted stitch socks. The pattern is Closure by Laura Jenkins. It was an MKAL, designed to give closure to 2020. I knit it with my Folktale Fibers American Targhee Sock in Peachy which I had bought at the virtual MD yarn fair that May. I caught COVID while knitting these socks, so they were a huge part of how I rang in the new year, going into 2021 while sick, with these on my needles. Closure.
@statsjew 💯
I’ve been learning more about fatphobia for many years. There are just so many heartbreaking stories about how it intersects with getting crappy health care. But I’ve been noticing how it dovetails with pro-infection ableism and eugenics, just all these little red flags flapping happily in a row 🚩🚩🚩 🙃🙃🙃
