More socks ... because I can't decide what else to make (or which project to finish).
Pattern is "Silver Lace Socks" https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/silver-lake-socks
The pattern says it's for a fingering weight yarn, but 3.0 mm needles and 48 sts for an adult sock point more in the direction of a sport weight yarn.
Anyway, I'm using 66 sts and all the usual adaptions. And ssk instead of k2togtbl.
And they are done. With all of 2.9 g of yarn left over ... Which is enough so I didn't feel like I'm playing yarn chicken - so maybe a perfect use of the yarn?
Anyway - the pattern stitch is from a design called "Thorsminde", which is a Danish village we actually passed through with a short stop last summer (I only realized that after finishing the socks).
Yarn is a hand dyed merino sock from Bart & Francis https://www.bart-francis.be/en/merinosock-softysock-75-25/g-118
Hello.
I will finish my other thread on lace soon.
I had said I "hate" knitting socks. Well, the truth is complicated.
I like sock yarns. I don't mind DPNs or Circular needles. (2 at a time magic loop.) I bookmark cool patterns and construction.
Knitting them is the suffering, even though I chose the yarn AND the pattern specifically. 😫
I always have a pair of socks I'm knitting. Worsted weight or fingering. I SPIN AND DYE MY OWN SOCK YARN!
What is going on OMG.
If you're a sock knitter who loves rather wild colours, I've added some of my "Reliable Sock Yarn" to the website too.

More travel knitting - on our way back home.
The second such shortly before the heel increases start. One day I might learn that knitting while sitting in a hotel bed is not comfortable and I don't have to bring a lot of extra yarn for such trips. One day.
*frogged*
I dropped a stitch when attaching yarn for a forethought heel. Toe down sock, stitch on the toe-side of the hole so the stitches are 'upside down'. I cannot get my brain around how to pick it up properly. Anyone with a (link to a) good explanation? I really don't want to unravel the whole foot.
Edit: it’s technically picked up in the pic, but it doesn’t look right in the red/pink colorwork (gaping stitches). I’m looking for the correct way to fix.
