Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior is made up of hundreds of islands. The main island is relatively underdeveloped with only 2 areas (Rock Harbor and Windigo) that have been built for visitors. On this remote island (accessible by long ferry ride or short seaplane ride), you can find moose and wolves; although the wolves are notoriously hard to spot. This is one of the least visited National Parks in the U.S. #IsleRoyale #NationalPark #Michigan #LakeSuperior #AmericaTheBeautiful

I find myself not very excited to share things lately, but need to get over the Twitter-depression hump and get back in there. Here's a butt orange from my backyard.

Why city planning needs diverse perspectives.

Touring possible commuter cycling routes.

What I saw - Smooth pavement. Separate from traffic. Shade. Not too busy. Perfect.

What my female partner saw - Blind corners. No lighting. No escape routes. Too few users. Wouldn’t use this route.

Hi all,
I'm a scientist in Queensland, Australia. I spent 20-years in virus research/diagnostic development following MedLabSci degree. PhD in virology next. Research grants in discovery, detection & characterisation of respiratory viruses. Published (see ORCID in bio). Started blogging/tweeting hobby. Then spent 5 years in public health virology diagnostics. Fun work. 2021 to now, ran testing lab (ends soon). What's next for Ian🤷?
