Two close ups of beautiful mineral deposition in once living tree trunks.
The second one clearly shows the tree's bark looking almost alive!
Starting a thread on my recent visit to #PetrifiedForest #NationalPark.
For starters it was very windy as you can see in this photo.
This is a "drive thru" park with one long road going north-south. I entered the less used southern entrance, visited a nice little museum, and started my tour with the #CrystalForest trail.

Kinda obsessed with the Mountain Lion Petroglyph by the Ancestral Pueblo from the Petrified Forest in Arizona. This would make a really great tattoo.
