Absolutely wild to me (hehehe, #wild) how people get up in arms over other people's LAWNS.

You need to hate other people's GRASS CHOICES.

Anyway planting native plants is really cool and beneficial to lots of things! Native and non! Planting grass is beneficial only to your jerk of a next door neighbor. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/14/climate/native-plants-lawns-homeowners.html?smid=url-share

They Fought the Lawn. And the Lawn’s Done.

After their homeowner association ordered them to replace their wildlife-friendly plants with turf grass, a Maryland couple sued. They ended up changing state law.

I guess I’ll make an intro post? #introduction

27 year old degenerate. No I did or migrate from the birdsite. I post mostly about boys and how they do my head in, I’m currently in active addiction but #harmreduction is one of my passions. Also really into #photography #films #books.

Looking for open minded folks! I’m a little intimidated by this site because everyone seems to have their shit together and/or have made something of themselves

Give her what she really wants this holiday season. Death to the patriarchy, an ancient tome of curses from the forest witch, the hearts of her enemies, and deep pockets in every dress and pair of pants.

If you've ever struggled a bit with #Shakespeare or you just want to see an actor at the very top of their game, I'd urge you to watch this short clip of Hamlet featuring the magnificent Andrew Scott (Moriarty in Sherlock, The Priest in Fleabag).

He's incredible at breaking down the Iambic pentameter and Shakespeare's language and heightening the emotional resonance and pathos of the "Get Thee to a Nunnery" speech with Ophelia.

#OTD Death of Karl #Foerster, #German #Plant #Breeder.

He spied his #Famous #Grass along the tracks & pulled the emergency brake on a #Train to get the specimen.

Karl Forster Grass was #Perennial #Plant of the Year in 2001.

Karl lived to be 96. He spent nearly nine decades #Gardening.
He once said,

"In my next #Life, I'd like to be a #Gardener once again.
The job was too big for just one #Lifetime."

Myself and @FintanOToolbox are hosting a #TwitterWake on Saturday 3rd December, 5pm in Dublin if any #IrishTwitter folk want to come along and mourn/celebrate the death of our old friend/foe

Today is the start of #NationalTreeWeek in the UK.

It’s the start of the planting season, which is from the end of November until March.

#trees planting is frowned on by some who favour only natural regeneration, but there’s a place for both if planting is done to complement & reconnect smaller fragments of ancient #woodland on a landscape scale.

It can have a massive positive impact on biodiversity as seen at Heartwood #Forest in St Albans.

Here’s an image from there.
