Thanksgiving 2022, my family is dispersed to Florida, Maui, New Zealand, DC and NY. I can feel them out there and I’m thankful for them all. Meanwhile here in Maine it’s still a couple hours until dinner with friends — whatever shall I do? (edited with #hipstamatic)

Phyllostachys angusta, stone bamboo, wintering indoors. It should be hardy here in zone 5 but only arrived in a pot in early autumn, so no time to acclimate. Anyway it seems happy on its skateboard. #bamboo #plants #houseplants #maine
