@SewHappy1960 @CKL Well you know there's a story about how "mastodon" came to be chosen as the name — I can't do it justice but it was sort of a wry joke with money involved.
@Thumper1964 Your rules sound remarkably similar to mine. Over the years I've collected so *much* Christmas music that it's hard to give it the attention it deserves — but really one must draw the line somewhere. And so with eggnog. Thought that takes care of itself as it will shortly vanish from the shelves at the grocery.
@krnlkule The ability to follow hashtags instead of (or in addition to) people, which already exists, would seem to accomplish some of that. No searching needed, and no need to scroll through non-relevant posts
@helenmole Welcome, Helen! I hope you enjoy it here
@darkcarnivaleric down for me too
@DulcimerLuthier That is pretty awesome. I thought I knew Moondog pretty well but this is completely new to me. Thanks!

@beebrookshire That is a really good article, isn't it. I actually felt encouraged after reading it

Absolutely wild to me (hehehe, #wild) how people get up in arms over other people's LAWNS.

You need to hate other people's GRASS CHOICES.

Anyway planting native plants is really cool and beneficial to lots of things! Native and non! Planting grass is beneficial only to your jerk of a next door neighbor. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/14/climate/native-plants-lawns-homeowners.html?smid=url-share

They Fought the Lawn. And the Lawn’s Done.

After their homeowner association ordered them to replace their wildlife-friendly plants with turf grass, a Maryland couple sued. They ended up changing state law.

@skyewalker95 It is adorable!
